After redesigning the mobile app experience, BlueJeans wanted to take the desktop app to the next level. The ultimate goal was to make the join experience faster than ever before. We had to balance out not only making the backend technology faster but also making sure the elements and ways to join a meeting were extremely obvious to users. Other things that we were solving for also included promoting users to join meetings directly from the app and improving ratings of the overall app.

The clean white theme and contrasts were necessary from a visual perspective in order to pass accessibility standards while still adding layers of depth so that the app wouldn’t look to flat.
Calendar Integration
By introducing the calendar popover at the correct time during a user’s experience, we can assume that by personalizing their upcoming meetings they will be more likely to come back to the app often with the information presented delightfully.
